Windows Mobile Software Development
Amulet developed a Windows Mobile application and website to allow field workers to upload inspection data to a central server. Once data arrived on the server, SMS alerts and reports were automatically issued to relevant personnel. For example, if an inspection failed, a report would be automatically emailed to an operative who would then be able to attend on site to fix any issues
The application consisted of 100,000 lines of code spread across a Windows Mobile application written in C#.NET, an ASP.NET website to provide a portal into the management of the data, a SQL Server 2005 database and a suite of reports developed using SQL Reporting Services. The application took over a year to fully develop and was featured at the MOBex conference in June 2009 and also at a conference run by the Chartered Institute of Housing.
